Objectives

The courses aims at realizing the following objectives :-

  • To develop problem solving abilities using a computer.
  • To build the necessary skill set and analytical abilities for developing computer based solutions for real life problems.
  • To train students in professional skills related to Software Industry.
  • To prepare necessary knowledge base for research and development in Computer Science.
  • To help students build-up a successful career in Computer Science and to produce entrepreneurs who can innovate and develop software products.

Duration of the Programme

B. Sc. (Computer Science) is of a Three Year (Six semesters) Full Time Degree Programme.

The programme shall be based on credit system comprising 132 credits.

Eligibility:

  1. 1. A candidate is eligible for admission to the Degree in Bachelor of Business Administration – Computer Application after passing 12th Std. examination (H.S.C. 10 +2) from any stream with English as passing subject and has secured 40% marks at 12th std.
  2. 2. Three Years Diploma after S.S.C. i.e. 10th Standard of Board of Technical Education conducted by Government of Maharashtra or its equivalent.
  3. Two Years Diploma in Pharmacy after HSC, of Board of Technical Education conducted by Government of Maharashtra or its equivalent.
  4. Two Years Diploma in Pharmacy after H.S.C., of Board of Technical Education conducted by Government of Maharashtra or its equivalent.
  5. MCVC 6. Medium of Instruction: English

Award of Credits

  1. Each course having 3 credits shall be evaluated out of 100 marks and student should secure at least 40 marks to earn full credits of that course.
  2. Each course with 2 credits for Sem-I n Sem-II, Sem-V n em-VI is divided in theory (50%) n practical (50%) and for Sem-III,IV there will be project work for students. For all practical and project there will be university evaluation. For Sem-I,II,VnVI (30%Internal & 70%Extrenal) is the pattern of evaluation
  3. GPA shall be calculated based on the marks obtained in the respective subject provided that student should have obtained credits for that course.
  4. A candidate is required to obtain 40% marks in Internal Assessment, Projects and semester-end SPPU examination.

Project Examination

For course on Practical and Project work as per the regular practice there will be Written Report and viva presentation of 100 marks at SPPU level

Syllabus
